CDC announces the competitive availability of fiscal year 2024 funds to implement a capacity building assistance (CBA) program to strengthen the capacity and improve the performance of the nation's HIV workforce.
This guidance describes actions that all health departments can take to develop capacity, engage key partners, and successfully implement CDR activities.
Hydeia Broadbent was a prominent HIV/AIDS activist who was born with HIV. Throughout her life, she worked to raise awareness to lessen the stigma around pediatric HIV. Sadly, Hydeia recently passed away at the age of 39. We honor the legacy of the life she lived and the incredible impact she had with her activism.
Sonia Lee, Ph.D., chief of the Maternal and Pediatric Infectious Disease Branch (MPIDB) in DER, received an HHS Secretary’s Commendation for exceptional service and leadership during the public health emergency phase of the COVID-19 pandemic. Congratulations, Dr. Lee!
